that kick is still stale though.. Imo you have two options. Put a delay on it to give it just a little bounce... or go back in, draw new kick midi, and turn down the volume on the off kicks.. its standing straight up with no bounce...
I'll get onto this mate, thanks
I don't know what that link is you posted, is that a wip OF yours?

Ok then..pulling this out of the ashes. Third iteration as a matter of fact. A complete composition change and 2 arrangement changes. It's just getting to the point where I am starting to feel it better with a little more groove. Going to work on another singular note pattern to match the main so it isn't as repetitive. No mix yet as it still early (for an old song..lol)
*another revision has been replaced - added some vox chops and cleaned up the percussion a lil
I'm not feeling this one buddy, sorry, just not for me & does not seem up to the standard you've been producing, but I do thank you for your kind feedback on mine.

All good Richard and for sure value your opinion. This year has been a little different for me on writing and I am approaching it differently as well to. At the same time, I am all over the board genre wise and this was another one of those tracks. Personally, I am going to stick with it because I am liking it the more I play with it. It does need some help but with the newer versions I have done, I think I have something with it.
Thanks bud

Hi there again, i see the forum is still alive, i have retaken music production , i have a WIP in progress i would love some criticism specially about the last part of the track which is the part i'm most scheptical with. Kick is probably too loud, sounds fine on studio speakers but distorted on cheap ones which may indicate something.
Thank you in advance.

I like the ideas overall, i feel you went for a minimalistic approach but some extra subtle percussion would probably add more atmosphere, specially gated reverb ones i feel could be a good addition. I don't like the snare sample i'd try something softer on this one.

Good to see you still around, this one sounds very nice in arrangement design and mixdown i'd leave it as it is. well done.

I pop in every now again ninja style...
But this one made me dig up my login details to post. *thumbs up*...Sounds nice overall and shouldn't mess with it. Liked the rich verby backdrop, lots of nice depth, overall a nice, rich sound (no pun...).
Liked how much tension that build had for how smooth it was too. Good use of filters/FX there bud!
Only criticism from me : Either that pushed rev-pad or whatever bit crush / distortion FX being used @ 1:52 might be adding some unintentional clip / artifact garbage at that spot...Might also be a byproduct of SC too, *shrug*. Was really the only sore spot that stuck out to me.
Will have to give it a listen on the nearfields in the mornin' when people ain't sleepin'. (-Edit- Did this, the popping isn't as noticeable...but it's still there...Pretty minor tbh.)
Also still alive, added HS8's (<3) and a bunch of other crap to the arsenal, still pluggin' away at stuff and preening old stuff with new gear.
Career been all-consuming...but it's what's gonna get me the studio I want .
K, bye o/.

I agree with Richard on this one (and Thanks for the reply on my last one) this one is pretty on point. I don't think I would change a thing.

I like this one sounds a lot like something Pryda would make i'd choose a different sound for the bass but this is personal preference i sometimes don't like the bass sounds on Pryda tracks and they're recognized as music jewels.

Oh.My.God. Good to see you back, Rodri!
Listening on my laptop, so I can't really comment on the kick (sounds fine though). The ending does seem to sorta fizzle out and lose energy, but seems like it would fit fine in a mix.
