So I've listened to both Nick and Sand Leaper's mix in their entirety a few times now. Both are outstanding additions to this competition.
For Nick's mix, I actually enjoyed the beginning of the set. It was the perfect soundtrack to getting going for my gym workouts. As Jack mentioned, I wasn't too sure on the whole transition from that to breaks as to me, it felt like two completely different mixes. As you are ending with some legit prog-psy, and then going into some lighter progbreaks.
That being said, the breaks section was awesome. There were a few transitions that I thought were rushed and sort of messed with the flow of the mix, but at the end there were some ACE transitions that I absolutely loved. I'll have to go back and listen on my computer to pinpoint these, as at the gym I'm not actively checking my phone for timestamps and then remembering them when I get home. This was a proper workout mix for me, kudos!
For Sand Leaper's mix, this to me might be one of the standouts so far in the competition. As you said, it wasn't that much of a gym playlist, but I was able to listen to it a few times on a few long drives I have had to make and could picture the little bar you mixed it at and the atmosphere as you went along in the mix. There were some gorgeous tracks and then of course, some areas of the mix where I wish you continued on with the energy rather than bringing it back down. To me it was a very eclectic and dare I say, brave mix to put together. Your music library is obviously super vast and that is on full display in this mix. That being said, you pulled it off and I think in some cases, the short transitions were needed to mix some of the tracks you put together.
I had very similar positives and criticisms to this mix as the-sixth did, and mainly it was because I personally was in the mood for some continual 4x4 rhythm and dancing at the end. I understand the direction and structure of the mix though considering this was an actual live set with dancers and an atmosphere to consider.

In terms of my mix, I am actively going through my vinyls right now. I have decided it will be a combined digital and vinyl mix, moreso on the digital side just because of the direction I want to take this mix in. I was originally going to focus on prog only, but didn't want to over-saturate this competition with prog mixes. I apologize for the wait but frankly, I haven't had much motivation to mix anything other than dnb at the moment. That's been the biggest hurdle for me in completing this competition. That being said, I am putting my ass in high gear to get this competition done.
